A beer league hockey player who got tired of the chaos of organizing games, so I built a platform to make it easier for all of us.
My Story
The Hockey Player
I've been playing beer league hockey for over 3 years. Like most of you, I know the struggle of coordinating games, leagues, tournaments, managing the rosters, and trying to keep everyone in the loop. The group chats, the spreadsheets, chaotic facebook chats,the constant back-and-forth – it was exhausting.
The Developer
By day, I'm a software developer who loves solving problems with code. After years of dealing with the organizational nightmare that comes with amateur sports, I realized I could build something better. Something that actually understands what beer league players and teams need.
Why I Built This
After struggling with too many games because of miscommunication, losing track of who does what, and spending more time organizing than actually playing, I decided enough was enough. I wanted to get back to what we all love – playing the game. BeerLeague.net is built by someone who actually plays beer league sports, for people who play beer league sports.
Built for the Community
This isn't some corporate solution built by people who've never laced up skates or cleats. This is a platform built by one of us, for all of us. Every feature comes from real experience dealing with the chaos of amateur sports organization.
